How high is your mountain going to be?

Isaiah 41:10So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (NIV)

For anyone who has been reading my blog, it is no secret I have been going through a tough time. I have prayed and studied and written on several different times of despair.  Praise God!  Why would I say praise God?  Because remember in James where we are told to count our trials as blessings?

I sit here tonight a blessed man.  God finally granted me the peace to go on through this trial.  As I was and still may be in a bit of a valley, I thought of something.  If you are deep in a valley going through whatever it is putting you in despair, which direction will you look?  I mean if you were at the base of the smokey mountains what is the most probable direction you would be looking?  UP of course.  How would you know the magnitude of the mountain you have climbed if you didn't first know where you started.  Life is tough, but when God blesses you with glimpses of His will for your life, the joy and peace that comes with doing His will makes life worth while.

I will still have valleys.  Praise the Lord!  As the verse says, don't fear or be dismayed.  He says He will strengthen and uphold us.  That is what he has done to me.  I said the other day about our weaknesses being a place for God to show His strength, well now I realize, my ability to feel and love so greatly is the exact thing He wants me to do.  The one thing that has caused me the most grief in my life, is now becoming my greatest gift.  Now how do you like that Satan!

Got chills people!  If you don't know the love of Christ, please ask God for conviction of your sinful life.  If you are sorry, just ask God to forgive you and turn away from your sins.  Anything you may give up is nothing compared to the feeling of being in God's will.

So I ask you, How high is your mountain going to be?

Keep me in your prayers.  God Bless Ya'll!
